If you and I have a 20 second conversation, what am I going to tell you that will stick and help you remember what it is that I do.
Whatever it is, it's got to be quick and it has to find a way to connect with you.
It's called my "elevator pitch." The ability to simply and energetically share this information in the time that it would take me to travel from the lobby to the fourth floor with you on an elevator.
If you've been reading studentlinc for very long, you already know what it is that I am trying to accomplish. If you want the elevator pitch I have it in two forms.
The really, really short form: Studentlinc develops lifelong leaders one student at a time.
The really short form: Studentlinc provides articles, resources, and downloadable material that helps develop student leaders and those who work with student leaders.
An elevator pitch is helpful to have because...
- People don't have a lot of time.
- People can only remember so much.
- If you know what you're talking about, people are more likely to check out what you're doing.
What's your elevator pitch?
Can you fit it on the back of a business card?
Is it on your business card?
