Today is Memorial Day. It is a day to remember things.
We remember people who fought for freedoms that we enjoy and often...take for granted.
We take time to remember and to say thank you.
If you are a student leader, then there are moments where you must stop and say thank you for the people that have come before you and paid a price for some of the success that you may now experience.
Most student leaders have about a year to serve in their position. That means that you can't accomplish everything you may want to. But your chapter in the story of your organization can make it easier for the person who is leading during the next chapter.
Will your leadership be something to be remembered? Will it cause those who follow after you to look back and say thank you because you made it easier for them to succeed?
That's called legacy.
